It’s the lining that drives this jacket. You’ll want to take it off and put it on several times wherever you go, and it’s the perfect inside joke to the serious look it poses to be.
No fabric tags but this is from his making skirts and blouses out of big silk scarves era and the lining is definitely a heavy silk crepe. The exterior is most likely wool, in a twill weave. If you search, you can find the vintage Ungaro blouse made from this cloth listed for an outrageous - and IMO, worth it - several hundred dollars. You won't see this again.

I think the jacket is a riff on what my mom’s generation called the “Car Coat.” It’s the Grand Prix of car coats. Brilliantly cut with a yoke and versatile collar. The jacket has deep pockets accented with gold studs.
29” across at the underarms, 23” across at the hem. 35” from nape to hem. Extended shoulders are 26” across and sleeves are 20” long – enough that you can roll out that amazing silk pattern.
The sewing form measures 38-30-39, FYI.
