Our photos are definitely the most important part of this piece's description as
it is out of our area of expertise. We have enough experience with vintage and antiques to give a general opinion, but opinion and fact are two very different things, so please do your own research. Offered as found/as pictured in the photos.
Twine appears to have been added to replaced two steel pieces that allowed for height adjustment of the long blade-like piece (the grader?) in the middle. So those two pieces appear to be missing. We know of no other missing pieces or other defects to this piece other than the surface wear clearly visible in the photos, but we don't claim to know what we should be looking for, so please ask questions or request photos from particular angles. We're happy to help and have no desire for our ignorance to mislead anyone. As far as we can tell from our inspection, this piece is very clean and fresh, with very nice depth of color. Could use a cleaning up in the moving parts areas but overall, its clean and non-sticky, with nothing gross hiding in the innards. It appears to be free of rust, peeling paint, stray marks, writing, moisture damage, and spiderwebs. We would let our kids play with it as-is, and we'd also use it as a cool decor/display piece as-is. From what we know of vintage, it seems like a excellent candidate for a complete restoration if clean and fresh shabby-chic condition isn't your thing.
We consider funky odors (cigarette smoke, mildew, etc) to be an important part of a condition report. Corndogcache is a 100% non-smoking environment, and we'll let you know if any of our vintage items smell like it (
    or anything else
) from activities they may have been involved in before they came to us.
